The best beaches to visit in Fuerteventura

 

It’s impossible to grow tired of the pristine blue and turquoise waters that surround the coastline of Fuerteventura.

The island is an ideal place to unwind and relax encompassed by beaches and crystal clear waters. We recommend that your first stop after collecting your rental car is to see the Corralejo Dunes. The ‘small desert’ in the north of the island features a road crossing it that presents sensational views of the golden sand horizon merging with the blue sea and sky. The area sits only five minutes away from the town of Corralejo, from where you can also take a short ferry ride for an excursion to the island of Lobos. With a surface area of only 5km2, Lobos island features a nineteenth century lighthouse that you won’t want to miss, while you can also swim and snorkel in its small cove.

Further south you can visit Cofete where you will find a breathtaking untouched beach just under 9 miles long within the Jandía Nature Reserve. The beautiful landscapes of Fuerteventura are not to be missed!
