Prices vary according to the special offers we have over the year. The prices quoted on always include the offers available at the time of the year you make your reservation.

The price quoted on includes unlimited mileage, taxes, CDW insurance, Theft protection (TP) and PAI, second driver, child and booster seats. TopCar reserves the right to modify its policy of services included in its rates at any time. But these modifications will never affect the bookings previously confirmed.

The price quoted on does not include vehicle fuel. The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when collected.

The CDW insurance included in the rate quoted on does not cover damage to rims and tires, tire flats, damage done to the underneath of the car body, loss or damage to keys and remote control devices, damage caused by filling the tank with wrong fuel, glasses and wing mirrors. With the CDW insurance service you would be agreeing in requesting a franchise that may vary depending on the vehicle hired. These franchise’s expenses would be between 500€ and 1.000€. Those exceptions can be covered by contracting the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) at 5 € per day up to a maximum of 75 € plus taxes per contract.

The roof racks are only available for groups B, R and Y in Gran Canaria (See fleet) , Lanzarote (See fleet), Tenerife (See fleet) and La Palma (See fleet) and for groups B, R, G and Y in Fuerteventura (See fleet). They cost 2€ per day.

Cars cannot be taken out of the island other than where picked up.

The driver license must be valid in Europe and, at least, must have been issued three years prior. Also the minimum age for rental is 23 years old and it is necessary to have a credit or debit card and to make a booking.

The minimum length of a contract is one day. If you reserve the car for less than a day, the contract will be signed on a 24 hour basis.

The car can be rented 12 hours in advance over the Internet. Should you need to rent a car with less advance notice, please call our booking office on 34-902 200 696 or call directly our corresponding office.

You must be 23 years old to rent a car.

It is necessary to present a valid credit card in the name of the driver to process the payment and rent the vehicle. Any other means of payment should be consulted with the corresponding rental office. Depending on the model of the car, insurance contracted and form of payment a deposit may be required.

Our prices offered through our website include the following insurances: Compulsory and third-party liability insurance (TPL), Basic Insurance Partial Collision coverage with franchise (CDW), Anti-theft coverage (TP) and Personal accident insurance (PAI).

  • Franchise:

The Basic Insurance with franchise (CDW) is the partial coverage in collision, theft and fire damages. The amount of the franchise is established according to the different categories of the vehicle and can be eliminated with the hiring of Super Insurance (SCDW) offered by TopCar. The franchise is the amount for which the customer is responsible in case of damage and / or theft and can range between € 500 and € 1,000. The maximum amount of the franchise will apply exclusively in those cases in which the damage or theft have been generated by non-negligent causes, which are not defined in the terms and conditions of the section of damages caused by the negligence of the driver.

  • Deposit:

With the Basic insurance or CDW the amount established in the franchise of the category of the vehicle chosen as a deposit will be charged to your account. The amount deposited will be reimbursed at the end of the contract as long as the vehicle is returned under the same conditions of delivery, with the same level of fuel delivered and at the time established for its return under the conditions of the reservation. Remember that to be exempt from depositing any amount, you must contract the Super Insurance (SCDW) and pay by credit card. In case of contracting our Super Insurance (SCDW) and paying by debit card or cash you must leave a deposit of € 200.
The refund of the amount left as security deposit may take up to 15 business days depending on your bank.

Super Safe (SCDW): The comprehensive collision damage coverage offered by TopCar in addition to what basic insurance includes CDW would cover wheels, tires and punctures; Mirrors, mirrors, windows, moons; Optics (front and rear and intermittent headlights; Roadside assistance, crane and replacement.

It would not be covered, by any insurance and in any case, the damages produced by the negligence of the authorized driver or breach of the contract conditions such as the following:


  • Damages or thefts that occur as a result of negligent acts of the driver, such as the theft of the vehicle with the keys placed, are not included in the T.P. coverage (Theft Protection).
  • Anti-theft coverage does NOT cover personal effects.
  • Fines, loss of keys and any other expense derived from the negligent use of the vehicle.
  • Use of wrong fuel depending on the characteristics of the vehicle.
  • Any damage caused in an accident if the client does not fill out and delivers the corresponding accident part with the description of the facts.
  • Losses of children's chairs
  • Theft of the vehicle with the keys placed
  • Push or tow any other vehicle.
  • Circulate in places that are not suitable for public transport such as beaches, automobile circuits, forest tracks, neighborhood roads, etc.
  • Circulation on unpaved roads, or asphalted, but with serious deficiencies, which could lead to damage to the underside of the vehicle. In addition to driving through restricted areas.
  • Negligent actuation when the alarms or warning signs of the leased vehicle are switched on.

For bookings made through , the second driver is free of charge and she/he must meet the same requirements as the first driver. It is essential that her / his personal details are registered when formalizing the contract.

Baby seats and child boosters are free of charge if they are requested on reservations made through .They are approved and fulfill the European security regulations..

The roof racks are only available for groups B and Y in Gran Canaria (See fleet) and La Palma (See fleet), for groups B, G and Y in Fuerteventura (See fleet) and for groups B, R and Y in Lanzarote (See fleet) and Tenerife (See fleet). They cost 2€ per day.

Only one surfboard can be transported by vehicle. The surfboard must be only placed on the roof rack and never directly on the roof or inside the vehicle. Any other object cannot be transported on the roof rack. TopCar does not assume any damage to the vehicle or to the third-party caused by the surfboard transported on the roof rack. These damages will be responsibility of the Renter.

Our fleet (Gran CanariaFuerteventuraTenerifeLanzaroteLa Palma) includes more than 25 different models, classified by groups. When booking a car, we will do our outmost to deliver the car requested. Should we not have the exact model at the time of pick up, we will deliver you another car from either the same group or a higher group at the same price.

The car rental contract starts and expires exclusively in our branch offices (Gran Canaria AirportGran Canaria SouthFuerteventura AirportLanzarote AirportTenerife SouthTenerife NorthLa Palma Airport). We do not deliver cars to hotels or residences where we do not have offices, except on Gran Canaria. There we offer that service for an extra charge, which will depend on the distance from our offices to hotels or residences.
