La Palma

San Martín Festival (November):

A traditional celebration featuring chestnuts, youthful wine, and folk music.

Almond Blossom Festival in Puntagorda (January-February):

Los Indianos (February):

This unique Carnival celebration has a particular tradition: all attendees dress in white, symbolising the return of La Palma’s emigrants from America (they were known as "Indianos").

Atlantic Odyssey (November):

A transatlantic regatta with around 60 boats setting sail from Lanzarote to the Caribbean. A spectacular sight not to be missed.

Enogastronomic Festival “Saborea Lanzarote” (November):

This festival brings together the best of Lanzarote’s food and wines, featuring cooking demonstrations, tastings, workshops, and the participation of renowned chefs. It’s the perfect opportunity to sample local products.

Fuerteventura

The beaches of this island make you feel as if you’ve stepped into paradise. In addition to enjoying its turquoise waters, this season offers unique events that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. Here are some of them:

Tamasite Battle Festival (October):

Held every year on Gran Tarajal beach on the 13th of October to recreate the events of 1740, when the locals faced off against an English pirate ship that reached the coast, successfully driving them away.

Corralejo International Kite Festival (November):

During this festival, hundreds of kites fill the sky with a multitude of shapes and colours. It’s a perfect event for families to enjoy together.

Christmas in Puerto del Rosario (December):

The town celebrates the holiday season with concerts, family activities, and Christmas markets.

Gran Canaria

Experience the Fronton King Pro (October):

Gran Canaria is a prime destination for water sports enthusiasts, particularly bodyboarding. Every October, Gáldar hosts the Frontón King Pro Championship, the most important event in the world for this discipline.

Gran Canaria Walking Festival (October):

This hiking festival invites you to explore the island’s most breathtaking landscapes with the guidance of experienced local experts.

Nativity Scene made of sand (December):

A true work of art, each year a nativity scene is recreated on Las Canteras Beach with incredible sculptures made entirely from sand.

Carnival (January-February):

The Gran Canaria Carnival is packed with festivities that begin in late January and extend until March.

Tenerife

Fiesta del Cacharro y la Castaña (November):

A traditional celebration held in Puerto de la Cruz, where locals gather in Plaza del Charco with old pots and utensils tied together with wires, clashing them to create a festive and noisy atmosphere. The celebration ends with a feast of roasted chestnuts and other traditional foods.

San Sebastían Festival in Adeje (January): 

This traditional event, over 500 years old, features a procession that ends at Playa de la Enramada. Animals, mainly horses but also donkeys and goats, are blessed, and some of them even take a dip in the sea. The day continues with music, food, and celebrations.

Winter Carnival (January-February):

One of the most important carnivals in the world, celebrated in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, featuring parades, costume competitions, and lively music filling the streets.
